Alexander Khvoshchinskiy has joined Walker Clark LLC as a Principal, effective 1 April 2015, and will be based in Berlin.
Considered by many in the legal profession to be Russia's best-known and most successful legal management consultant, Khvoshchinskiy will lead strategic planning and achievement projects for law firms in eastern Europe, Asia, and the Russian Federation. He also will participate in Walker Clark projects worldwide, advising on business development, governance, practice management, quality assurance, and professional development.
Alexander Khvoshchinskiy earned his law degree, with honors, at Moscow State Lomonossov University and an LL.M. degree in European Business Law at the Catholic University of Nijmegen / Pallas Consortium in the Netherlands. Since beginning his legal practice in 1993, he has been active in the development of the legal profession in Russia and other CIS countries, not only as a practicing lawyer but also consulting to more than 70 law firms and legal offices. His contributions to the legal profession have included national and international projects involving high-level research and policy development for governmental legal entities, such as the Constitutional Court and Supreme Economic Court of the Russian Federation, and major professional associations, such as the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of the Russian Federation.
Khvoshchinskiy currently is the chairman of the Financials Working Group of the Law Firm Financial Management Committee of the International Bar Association, is one of the founders, and a 2015 Co-Chair, of the IBA Law Firm Management Conference in Moscow, and is a frequent speaker at international legal conferences. His languages include English, Russian, and German.
