This video podcast, co-produced by Walker Clark LLC and Intricate Research, is the second in a series Demystifying IP Outsourcing.

In this 25-minute session, Walker Clark Senior Consultant Sarah Max discusses with Norman Clark (Walker Clark LLC)  and Gaurav Khandelwal (Intricate Research) how an intellectual property practice should identify the best opportunities for the outsourcing of selected functions and tasks, as well as those that should remain in-hours.  A well-informed decision requires a firm-specific and practice-specific analysis of the internal work processes by which a law firm prepares and delivers its IP services, informed by an understanding of the potential benefits and risks in terms of cost and quality assurance risks.

As Gaurav and Norm conclude, one size does not fit all. Each outsourcing decision must be custom-tailored to the financial and operational situation of each IP practice.
